In 2024, the total import and export volume of private enterprises in Tai'an reached 48.82 billion yuan ($6.73 billion), a year-on-year increase of 24.9 percent, according to statistics from Tai'an Customs.

"Under the guidance of customs, exporting our products to Japan became easier, boosting our confidence in expanding overseas markets," said Wu Ruzhen, who oversees export business at a flower cooperative in Feicheng, a county-level city in Tai'an.

At Shandong Tianyuan Garments Co Ltd, stylish and comfortable sportswear is continuously produced and exported to international markets after customs supervision. In 2024, the company's textile and clothing exports totaled 390 million yuan, a significant year-on-year increase of 68.9 percent. In response to the actual situation of textile and clothing product exports, Tai'an Customs supported these exports by using technical trade measures and promptly addressing export trade issues.

In 2024, Tai'an Customs issued 1,979 RCEP export certificates, a 38.5 percent increase from the previous year, with a total value of 400 million yuan. This initiative benefited 59 enterprises, saving them over 8 million yuan in import duties.
