An art exhibition commemorating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 29th anniversary of the start of Pudong's (Shanghai) development and opening-up opened in Stockholm, Sweden on June 1.

Titled "This Moment in Pudong", the exhibition displays 37 artworks depicting business, culture, society and life in the city's Pudong New Area and the Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone.

The exhibition aims to bolster cultural exchange between China and Sweden and increase understanding in Sweden of Pudong New Area and Shanghai as a whole.

Over 150 officials and representatives from China and Sweden attended the opening ceremony.

The high-quality artworks vividly display the achievements Pudong has made in reform and opening-up, said a visitor.

This marks the first time for the art exhibition to be held abroad after a photo exhibition with the same theme was successfully held in Singapore, Spain, Belarus and Russia last year.

Lasting until July 20, the exhibition is hosted by the Shanghai Pudong New Area People's Government and China Cultural Center in Stockholm.
