The 33rd East China Fair (ECF), one of China's largest and most influential regional international trade events, will take place from March 1 to 4 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Pudong New Area.

Covering an exhibition area of 115,000 square meters across 10 halls, the fair will feature four specialized sub-exhibitions, as well as two professional exhibition areas for cross-border e-commerce and overseas exhibitors. With over 5,000 booths and more than 3,200 exhibiting companies, including around 360 overseas exhibitors, the event promises a vibrant showcase of products and services.

On March 1, the opening ceremony will gather business authorities, domestic and overseas chambers of commerce, industry representatives, and distinguished scholars to delve into topics such as economies of scale, technological advancements, new digital export avenues, and shifts in China-U.S. trade and tariff policies.

Additionally, the cross-border e-commerce summit aims to foster the concentration of talent, services, finance, and other critical elements in Shanghai's cross-border e-commerce sector, exploring the fusion of AI and cross-border e-commerce to drive high-quality foreign trade development.

To facilitate precise matchmaking, this year's ECF will also establish a dedicated procurement matchmaking zone, encompassing specialty sessions for apparel & accessories, textiles & fabrics, housewares, decorative gifts, Europe and America, Japan, and Southeast Asia, offering a platform for buyers and exhibitors to connect and collaborate.

Since its inception in 1991, the ECF has successfully hosted 32 editions. It serves as a pivotal platform for Chinese exporters to tap into overseas markets, foster brand-building and innovation among domestic enterprises, and propel the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region. Moreover, it stands as a barometer of international markets and a bellwether for China's import and export trends.
