Los Angeles hosted the China-US Zhangjiang forum promoting communication between Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park and the US city on June 7.

The forum, themed "innovation guides new life", was sponsored by the Information Office of Shanghai Municipality and the government of Pudong new area.

Among the hundreds of political, academic, scientific and industrial people at the forum were Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger, San Bernardino County supervisors, Curt Hagman and Josie Gonzales, vice-mayor of Alhambra Stephen Sham, city councilor for West Covina Tony Wu, and deputy consul-general of the Chinese consulate in Los Angeles Sun Lushan.
