China Railway Taiyuan Group launches first China-Vietnam tourist train
The Y402 tourist train departed on Nov 15 from Yuncheng Station in North China's Shanxi province. This marks the launch of the first China-Vietnam "Cross-border Tour" train operated by China Railway Taiyuan Group Co.
The fully air-conditioned train consists of 10 hard sleeper cars, five soft sleeper cars, a power car, and a dining car. Over 500 tourists from Yuncheng, Linfen, and Taiyuan will embark on a 14-day journey, visiting destinations such as Jiujiang, Zhanjiang, and Yulin. After reaching Yulin and transferring to road transport, they will continue to Dongxing, cross into Vietnam, and explore famous scenic spots in Mong Cai and Hanoi.
A tourist from Yuncheng said, "Traveling by tourist train eliminates the hassle of frequent transfers. The carriages are comfortable and clean, and tour guides and medical staff members are onboard for convenience. It's a relaxing and enjoyable experience."
Staff members from Taiyuan Railway Xinchuang Catering Tourism Group Co explained that this special train operates on a fixed schedule and route, provides flexible accommodation options to ensure a unique travel experience, and features safety, convenience, and scenic views. The China-Vietnam "Cross-border Tour" tourist train will operate periodically based on future market demand.
