"Serving as a deputy has led me to a broader stage and brought me many rewards," said Liu Rongyan, principal of Yuncheng Experimental Middle School, after being elected as a deputy to the 14th Shanxi Provincial People's Congress.

Liu emphasizes that hygiene and safety in schools are crucial for the health of teachers and students and for maintaining regular teaching order.

"During my research, I found that many primary and secondary school doctors have limited capabilities to deal with sudden public health emergencies. At this year's Shanxi Provincial Two Sessions, I will propose suggestions to enhance the allocation of school doctors in compulsory education schools."

She hopes that health departments at all levels can openly recruit qualified medical personnel from outside the school to serve as school doctors, ensuring unified deployment and assignment. Liu also advocates for strengthened regulations on training, promotion, welfare benefits, assessments, and improving reward and incentive mechanisms.

Liu has conducted in-depth research, extensively solicited opinions and suggestions from various parties, and strived to obtain accurate first-hand information, laying a solid foundation for providing constructive advice.

In her two years of service, Liu has engaged with the frontline and listened to the people's voices, actively advocating for the education sector. She states that in her future work, she will devote herself to the cause of education and contribute to implementing an education that satisfies the people.
