Shanxi athlete Jiang Xinjie attends 9th Asian Winter Games

Jiang Xinjie, a snowboarder from North China's Shanxi province, will represent China in the slopestyle and big air events at the 9th Asian Winter Games, which kicked off in Harbin, Heilongjiang province, on Feb 7.
At 19 years old, Jiang is a rising star in snowboarding. In 2023, he made his mark in competitions by clinching the runner-up title at the X Games China Ski Tour Finals.
In 2024, at the 14th National Winter Games of the People's Republic of China, Jiang secured the silver medal in men's slopestyle and the bronze medal in men's big air in the youth group. During the 2024 FIS Snowboard and Freeski Asia Cups, Jiang also claimed a bronze medal in the men's snowboard slopestyle event.
"I feel very happy and honored to compete right on my doorstep," confessed Jiang. He expressed his determination to adjust his competitive state and mindset, aiming to showcase his best performance at the 9th Asian Winter Games.
As scheduled, Jiang will compete in the snowboard slopestyle event on Feb 8 and the snowboard big air event on Feb 10.
