Li Junhu: Focusing on cultural development
Updated: 2025-02-26
Over the past year, Li Junhu, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and chairman of the Shanxi Provincial Writers Association, has been dedicated to cultural development.
During last year's Two Sessions, Li proposed national efforts to strengthen the rescue and protection of immovable cultural relics in Shanxi province, playing a significant role in the fourth national cultural relics census.
For years, Li has visited sites across the province, conducting research and fieldwork to gain insights into the state of cultural heritage preservation. Understanding the significance of safeguarding historical and cultural legacies, he actively promotes their comprehensive protection.
Li plans to present his "Publishing National Standards for the Accessibility of Important Cultural Relics to the Public" proposal at the upcoming Two Sessions. He suggests clearly defining which relics cannot be accessed, those with limited access, and those with restricted visitor flow.
He also advocates for the establishment of more digital replica exhibition halls and immersive experience centers, which would allow visitors to appreciate relics and gain a deeper understanding of their historical and cultural significance.
