Shanxi's photovoltaic installed capacity exceeds 10m kW
Updated: 2025-02-26
By the end of January, Shanxi province's distributed photovoltaic installed capacity reached 10.54 million kilowatts, surpassing 10 million kilowatts and setting a new record.
As a comprehensive reform pilot area, the province has accelerated the transformation and upgrading of its economic structure, identifying the photovoltaic industry as a strategic pillar industry.
The provincial government has introduced the "Three-Year Action Plan for the Development of Distributed Renewable Energy (2023-2025)", which promotes the development of the photovoltaic industry and facilitates the implementation of the "Bringing Light to Thousands of Households" initiative.
State Grid Shanxi Electric Power Company has also worked to support the large-scale and high-quality development of distributed photovoltaics, assessing the capacity for distributed photovoltaic grid connections and producing specialized reports for government policy formulation.
The company has conducted large-scale studies on the adaptability of new energy grid connections, scientifically planning for a more flexible, intelligent, and reliable grid system to meet the demands of new energy source connections. It has also advanced the construction of modern smart distribution networks, with urban and county-level network connectivity rates increasing to over 93 percent and 83 percent respectively.
