Han Qinghua, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and deputy dean of the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University, has been addressing the urgent needs of the masses and the public health system since 2018.

During last year's Two Sessions, Han submitted three proposals, reflecting concerns such as strengthening the emergency reserve of traditional Chinese medicinal materials for epidemic prevention and control in China and promoting traditional Chinese medicine health care for the elderly in rural areas. The CPPCC National Committee and relevant ministries adopted these proposals.

Over the past year, Han has conducted community clinics, health consultations, public education lectures, and training for rural doctors to deepen her engagement at the grassroots level and contribute to safeguarding people's health.

Under her leadership, the research achievements of the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University steadily increased in 2024. 338 projects were approved, including 13 grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the hospital maintained its top position in the province for five consecutive years.

"Through extensive research and visits, I have prepared multiple proposals this year, such as standardizing the qualifications of medical staff in community health service centers and improving drug label information for the elderly and vulnerable groups," said Han. "I am ready to submit them as required." With the 2025 Two Sessions approaching, Han will continue safeguarding people's health.
