On Dec 26, the Shanxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology recognized six new industrial technology innovation strategic alliances, covering key industries such as recycled aluminum, environmental protection equipment, smart agriculture, and intelligent medicine.

These alliances aim to overcome technological bottlenecks by deeply integrating industry, academia, and research, injecting robust technological momentum into the province's industrial transformation and upgrading.

The newly recognized alliances are spearheaded by a diverse range of entities, including provincial universities, leading enterprises, and specialized medical institutions. This creates a multifaceted innovation landscape characterized by "academic research empowerment, enterprise-led initiatives, and institutional collaborative support".

Among them, the Recycled Aluminum Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, led by Taiyuan University of Science and Technology, will focus on aluminum recycling and technological upgrading. Meanwhile, Shanxi Huineng Technology Co leads the Environmental Protection Equipment Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, targeting core technology development in environmental protection equipment to provide hardware support for the province's green development.

By integrating innovation resources across the industry chain, they aim to break down barriers between universities, enterprises, and research institutions, establishing a comprehensive innovation chain of "demand-driven, collaborative R&D, results transformation, and industrial application".

Following their establishment, the alliances will focus resources on key industrial technologies, cultivate high-quality, innovative talent, and build platforms for technical exchange and results transformation. This will enhance the self-innovation capabilities and core competitiveness of related industries, providing solid technological support for Shanxi's comprehensive push towards high-quality development.
