Linfen launches five Chinese New Year tourism routes

The launch ceremony for the "Celebrate Chinese New Year in Fengnanyuan Scenic Area" event was held in Huozhou, Linfen city, Shanxi province, on Jan 26. During the event, five specially curated Chinese New Year tourism routes were unveiled, offering a diverse range of experiences that span culture, nature, intangible cultural heritage (ICH), folk customs, and winter sports.
The "Tracing Roots" route connects major sites such as the Hongtong Dahuaishu Ancestor Memorial Garden, Guangsheng Temple, and the Taosi Site Museum, allowing visitors to explore traditional customs rooted in ancient civilization. The "Yellow River" route showcases majestic landscapes along the Yellow River and the folk traditions of the Loess Plateau, creating an immersive Chinese New Year experience.
The "Heritage Craftsmanship" route links attractions like the ancient city of Fencheng and Xiaoxitian, offering a glimpse into the allure of intangible cultural heritage. The "Folk Customs" route focuses on vivid rural Chinese New Year experiences at locations including Fengnanyuan Scenic Area and Fushan Zhaigeda Wellness Resort. Lastly, the "Ice and Snow Spectacle" route centers around winter sports, providing a fun-filled journey through snowy landscapes.
Throughout the Spring Festival, Huozhou will continue hosting the "Celebrate Chinese New Year in Fengnanyuan Scenic Area" event, featuring a variety of activities such as ICH performances, molten iron fireworks displays, local market fairs, Chinese New Year bun making, and paper-cutting, all contributing to a warm and festive holiday atmosphere.
