Pingding county government and the management Committee of Pingding Economic and Technological Development Zone signed an agreement with Shandong Guantao Ceramics Co on Dec 3 for the company to build an architectural ceramics plant in the zone, according to officials.

With a total investment of 510 million yuan ($72 million), the plant will cover a construction area of 75,000 square meters. 

Two production lines will be constructed during the 10-month period and the construction will be started in March 2020. 

Once completed, the plant is expected to produce 30 million sq m of architectural ceramics annually.
