New agricultural industrial park breaks ground in Yangquan

The Huixin Modern Breeding Agriculture Industrial Park, a key agricultural project in Jiaoqu district in Yangquan city in North China's Shanxi province, started construction on April 19, according to local officials.

To be constructed by Beijing Qiangsheng Huixin Investment Management Co, the industrial park with a planned investment of 120 million yuan ($16.93 million) will be built in two phases. 

The first phase of the project mainly includes the construction of modern pig houses and harmless septic treatment facilities, breeding workshops and disinfection workshops. It is expected to be completed and put into production at the end of September, with a capacity to breed 20,000 pigs per year after completion.

The project is of great significance for accelerating the development of modern agriculture in Yangquan city, according to local officials.
