A government delegation from Yangquan city in North China's Shanxi province -- led by Mayor Lei Jiankun -- visited Beijing on Sept 3-4 to conduct business matchmaking with a local institution and companies.

The delegation went to China Three Gorges Renewables Group, China Railway Beijing Group Co, the Office of Science and Technology at Peking University and Beijing Obe Technology Group to discuss further cooperation in the fields of new energy, transportation and logistics, utilization of solid waste and intelligent security.

In one round of talks, the delegation negotiated with China Three Gorges Renewables Group on an integrated storage project for wind power, solar power and hydro power.

It also talked to representatives from China Railway Beijing Group Co on opening and operating the Yangquan-Dazhai Railway, the management of potential safety hazards on conventional railways and the Yibo intelligent multimodal transport port project.

Mayor Lei said she hoped the companies and the institute would strengthen their partnerships with Yangquan and expand industrial investment in the city to help Yangquan's economic transformation and development.

She added that Yangquan government could offer better services and further optimize its local business environment to facilitate win-win cooperation.
