Hongyanling Scenic Area, located in the northeast of Pingding county, Yangquan, was recently recognized as a national 4A tourist attraction. Following a rigorous application process that involved local and provincial cultural and tourism departments, this marks the ninth 4A-rated tourist destination in Yangquan city, North China's Shanxi province.

The scenic area spans 40 square kilometers, with an 8-square-kilometer core area. It is known for its picturesque peaks, lush pines, and stunning natural beauty throughout the seasons. Among its many highlights is the Yuhuang Cave, dubbed the "first cave of Taihang Mountains", showcasing the area's unique Karst topography. The cave's five interconnected chambers are named Dragon Palace, Jade Pool, Lingxiao Hall, Arhat Court, and Buddha's Hall, each offering visitors an awe-inspiring experience.

Hongyanling is now promoting a new integrated tourism model emphasizing ecotourism and cultural heritage. The scenic area is actively developing leisure agriculture and rural tourism by utilizing its pristine environment and unique features. This initiative is expected to boost local incomes and enrich the area's village communities.
