In alignment with the "East Data, West Computing" strategy, Yangquan is strengthening its role as a key player in the digital economy by focusing on building robust computing infrastructure. This year, the city has prioritized advancing smart computing capabilities with substantial government and enterprise investments.

Yangquan High-tech Industrial Development Zone is pivotal in this transformation, using its industrial advantages to foster development. It has signed agreements to establish three intelligent computing centers, including projects by SenseTime, Shiwei Intelligent Equipment, and Zhongke Ruihua. These centers will enhance the city's AI computing power and, once completed, will provide 10,000 P of smart computing capacity, reinforcing Yangquan's position as a prominent "digital intelligence" hub.

The city is also developing the Baidu Cloud Computing (Yangquan) Center and the Shanxi Yunfeng Big Data Smart Computing Center, which are slated to become leading green, energy-efficient cloud data centers. These projects will offer essential infrastructure and computing services in the 5G, AI, industrial internet, and blockchain fields. Upon completion, the combined computing power of these centers will reach 13,000 P, positioning Yangquan at the forefront of China's digital transformation.
