The 2025 Yangquan Spring Festival Gala was held at the gymnasium of the Shanxi Institute of Technology in Yanguquan, North China's Shanxi province, on Jan 22.

The gala featured 17 programs with a total duration of about 150 minutes, including songs and dances, language programs, operas and acrobatic performances.

In addition to the main venue, the gala also set up a sub-venue at the Yangquan Memory•1947 Cultural Park featuring eye-catching science fiction-themed stage art, bringing audiences intangible cultural heritage, traditional folk art performances, folk songs and more.

For the first time, augmented reality technology was used in the gala's live broadcasts on television and on the internet, which integrated real stages and virtual animations, bringing a new visual experience to the audience. Each program has distinct characteristics, showcasing the cultural heritage and temperament of Yangquan from different perspectives.
