The Second Franco-Chinese Carbon Neutrality Cooperation Summit was held in Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District on Dec 12.
The event was organized and hosted by the Low-carbon Economy Service Committee of Shanghai Services Federation, Conseillers Du Commerce Exterieur De La France and the Center of Enterprises in France and Francophonie.
Based on the theme of "Low/zero/negative carbon technology exchange, China/France/World business cooperation", the summit invited business representatives, government officials and heads of industrial parks from China and France to discuss cooperation opportunities and challenges related to China's dual carbon goals under the current international circumstances through keynote speeches and a government-enterprise dialogues.
During the Yangtze River Delta Sino-French Government-Enterprise Dialogue, government officials from Yangzhou, Jiangsu province; Jiaxing, Zhejiang province; Wuhu, Anhui province and the Hongqiao Central Business District explained their low-carbon development plans and discussed cooperation opportunities with companies including Faurecia, L'Oreal, Air Liquide and Danone.
A report on the French agricultural food industry and its development in China and a plan for a documentary themed on China's ambition to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060, which is expected to be jointly produced by the two countries, were also revealed at the summit.
