Jiangsu Runergy New Energy Technology Co recently signed an agreement with Minhang district, Shanghai to set up the company's Shanghai headquarters in the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District.
As a leading solar power cell producer in the industry, the Shanghai headquarters is expected to generate nearly 100 billion yuan ($14.54 billion) of operation revenue in three years.
Xinhong sub-district, where the headquarters is located, has been building a characteristic industrial cluster that consists of high-end equipment, artificial intelligence, new-generation information technology, bio-medicine, the headquarters economy, as well as low-carbon and new energy sectors.
At present, the sub-district has gathered a number of leading photovoltaic companies and a photovoltaic industrial chain is taking shape in the area.
Headquartered in Jiangsu Yancheng Economic and Technological Development Zone, Runergy's sales volume of solar cells ranks among the top three globally.
In December 2022, it was certified as a provincial unicorn company in Jiangsu, and during the first 10 months of 2022, the company was granted 122 out of 180 patents.
