CJ Group, a South Korean multinational conglomerate, is planning to set up its Chinese headquarters in the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District (CBD), according to an agreement inked between the company and Shanghai's Minhang district on June 28.
A Fortune Global 500 company, CJ Group will be the 18th multinational company to have a headquarters in the South Hongqiao Area.

CJ Group currently employs over 14,000 people in China and has invested over 20 billion yuan ($2.77 billion) into its Chinese operations to date.
Located in the northern part of Minhang district, the South Hongqiao Area serves as the core of the Hongqiao International Open Hub.
