A forum about new energy development was held in Minhang district, Shanghai on July 11.
Over 200 experts, scholars and entrepreneurs from the new energy industry attended the forum to discuss opportunities and challenges regarding innovation and globalization in the industry.
During the forum, the Hongqiao Photovoltaic (PV) Industry Alliance was established. This alliance brings together existing PV companies in Minhang district and the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District (CBD) and will aim to address issues such as increased competition in the global PV industry, as well as coordinate the development of the domestic PV industry.

Minhang district also formed global investment promotion partnerships with PGO Green Energy Ecosystem Organization and KPMG International Limited during the event.
PGO Green Energy Ecosystem Organization is an alliance of companies in the green energy industry and focuses on research in the PV, energy storage and hydrogen industries.
KPMG, a leading global professional services firm, has decided to set up a new office in the core area of the Shanghai Hongqiao International CBD, citing the transportation advantages and business environment of the CBD.
Minhang district has been making significant progress in developing green and low-carbon industries and has become a crucial driving force behind the Hongqiao International Open Hub.
The establishment of the Minhang Hydrogen Energy Industry Alliance in 2022 has resulted in an increasing number of PV industry companies setting up operations in the district.
