West Hongqiao Business District, a district that has been embracing the spillover effects of the China International Import Expo, is witnessing the accelerated construction of various projects that have contributed to the rise of company headquarters.
One of the most notable projects in West Hongqiao is the Midea global innovation park. Serving as Midea's global operation headquarters and innovation hub, the park spans approximately 400,000 square meters and is backed by 8 billion yuan ($1.11 billion) in investments.
The park comprises research and development offices, high-end business facilities, hotel accommodations, sports centers, and commercial centers.
The park will apply Midea's core technological expertise in smart homes, industrial internet, and intelligent supply chains, making it a hub for intelligent technology and front-end research and development. The aim is to create an ecologically friendly, human-centric, and intelligent world-class green tech park.
Another notable project is the ANTA Group global retail headquarters, which is located in the core area of the West Hongqiao Business District. The headquarters covers a total area of 35,054 square meters and comprises five buildings.
This headquarters has office areas, research and design centers, a sports activity center, brand flagship stores, and employee canteens.
The YTO International financial and technology headquarters is another significant project in the West Hongqiao Business District. Spanning 59,209 square meters, this headquarters is focused on logistics research and innovation, financial business offices, and commercial supporting services. Its aim is to establish a financial service center and an intelligent backend technical support headquarters for the express logistics industry. It will also conduct research and innovation in blockchain, big data, artificial intelligence, and other advanced technologies.
The district is currently aiming to promote the coordinated development of domestic and international markets, construct an ecological, intelligent, and high-quality business functional area, and become an essential engine for the future economic growth of West Hongqiao.
