To streamline the Customs clearance process for inbound travelers, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport introduced a self-service system for submitting immigration arrival cards. Watch the video to find out how to use the new devices. Below is a step-by-step instruction for your reference.
1. Prior to boarding your flight to Shanghai, scan the provided QR code, select the preferred language, and fill out the Arrival Card information. Once completed, submit the form.
2. Save the generated QR code on your mobile device.
3. Upon arrival at the Hongqiao Port, follow the signs to locate self-service terminals for completing the Arrival Card.
4. Follow the prompts on the terminal and select the "QR code" button. Align the saved QR code on your mobile device with the scanner. If you have not completed the online form in advance, choose the "passport" button and follow the instructions to scan the information from the passport data page.
5. After the Arrival Card is printed, proceed to the designated inspection channel. Remember to sign the card before proceeding.
