The China-SCO Technology Transfer Center recently hosted a talk at the Hongqiao Overseas Development Service Center — located in the Hongqiao Central Business District of East China's Shanghai — to present investment opportunities in Kazakhstan, attracting the participation of local businesses.
As globalization deepens, Kazakhstan — with its abundant resources and strategic location — is emerging as a hotspot for overseas investment.
The event aimed to delve into Kazakhstan's business environment, policy trends and sectoral opportunities, fostering economic ties under the Belt and Road Initiative or BRI.
Participants gained insights into successful Chinese investments in Kazakhstan across energy, mining, agriculture, manufacturing and tourism and other fields. They said they were bullish about the broad prospects for Sino-Kazakh collaboration, especially in the wake of the lecture.
The event was widely seen as having enhanced mutual understanding – exploring cooperation potential under the BRI, as well as laying a solid foundation for joint market expansions.
With its staging, the Hongqiao Overseas Development Service Center, as a key driver of internationalization, showcased its commitment to fostering international business partnerships.
