Shanghai's Hongqiao International Central Business District and Chongming district will work together on regional ecological development.
Yang Xubo, deputy director of the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District Administrative Committee, and Xu Huiquan, deputy director of Chongming district, discussed their collaboration plans during a meeting on Jan 23.
Xu talked about Chongming's goal of becoming a top ecological island by building a modern industrial system. By partnering with Hongqiao, which offers international business platforms, they hope to share resources and attract new businesses through their beautiful landscapes and healthy living conditions.
Yang highlighted Hongqiao's strengths in location, policies, and talent pool. He said the district aims to be the first stop for companies in the Yangtze River Delta looking to expand globally. By working with Chongming, they can better use resources and match Hongqiao's business expertise with Chongming's unique industries and ecology.
Both plan to focus on green industry investment, benefits from the China International Import Expo, and talent exchanges.
