Established on March 18, 2013, Showa Denko Sichuan Carbon Inc, located in the Huilonghe industrial park, Lizhou district in Guangyuan, Sichuan province, covers an area of 262 mu, or 17.45 hectares, and has a total of more than 300 employees.

It is jointly invested by Showa Denko K.K. (Japan), Sinosteel Sci-Tech Development and Tokai Carbon (Japan) with a registered capital of 580 million yuan, in which Showa Denko holds 67 percent of the shares, Sinosteel holds 30 percent of the shares, and Tokai Carbon holds a 3 percent stake.

The company's production and business includes research and development, processing, production, sales, import and export, processing and technical services of carbon and graphite products, whether finished, semi-finished or by-products.

Main products: ultra-high-power graphite electrodes with a diameter of 600mm or more.

Major customers: major domestic steel companies. About 20 percent of the company's products, those with diameters below 500mm, are sold to Japan.
