The company Guangyuan Zhezhao Agriculture Co invested six million yuan to establish a 33.3-hectare strawberry farm.

The villagers were provided with seedlings, technical guidance and training. The company promised to buy back strawberries at a guaranteed base price. By doing so, the company helped lay a solid market foundation.

With the help of collective trademark resources and e-commerce platforms, the village's annual sales reached more than 6 million yuan.

Jiaochang also built an agricultural tourism demonstration park while developing new businesses, including sightseeing and agricultural processing.

Since 2019, the village has opened eight new rural homestays and received 210,000 tourists.

The village's co-operative invited food companies to develop processed products such as strawberry cake, dried strawberries, and strawberry wine. These products are expected to appear on the market next year.

Jiaochang has highlighted Party-building and continued to optimize its Party organization. Representatives of local Party members and co-operative members are involved in collective economic management.

Honorary villagers, no more than 20 percent of the whole population, were also able to join the co-operative council and take part in decision-making.

In addition, the local government launched natural disaster and price index insurance in cooperation with China Insurance to protect the farm.
