Rows of glowing lanterns and lights adorn Guangyuan in Southwest China's Sichuan province, as the city awaits the coming of the Spring Festival.

When roaming along the main roads and bridges, visitors will enjoy a sea of lanterns, colored flags and oil-paper umbrellas in the night. Also, they are able to come across eye-catching plants and floral displays in squares and parks.

To greet the Year of Tiger, people like to put up stickers with tiger cub patterns. Enterprise and institution staff decorated their high-rise office buildings with illuminations; many merchants hung the Chinese character fu (fortune, bliss) and paper-cuts on their glass door and windows. All elements convey good New Year wishes.
