Notably, snow sports became a novelty favorite for tourists. Statistics show that just for the opening day of the Winter Olympics that fell on Feb 4, Zengjiashan international ski resort received 17,000 people and its overall income was a record high of 3.6 million yuan.

Affected by the low temperatures, Tangjiahe, Micang Mountain areas offered ice waterfalls and rime scenery. In addition, hot spring resorts in Tangshan Mountain, Micang Mountain and Jianmen Pass allowed visitors to relax and enjoy themselves after a cold snow tour.

In Zhaohua Ancient Town, tourists treated themselves to ancient charms about the walls and the Longmen Academy of Classical Learning during daytime, and enjoyed lantern shows and large-scale immersive stage plays at night.

Short-distance leisure tours and agritainment were also part of the tourism spectacle, while self-driving tours and family-based self-guided tours were exciting modes of travel.
