Golden monkeys jumped on the branches, sometimes huddling together, sometimes chasing one after another despite the coldness. These playful animals made the quiet forest a bit more lively.
The reserve is home to 640 golden snub-nosed monkeys, a national first-class protected species. They have golden hair, piercing eyes and a unique snub-nose.
