The construction of a mountain biking trail was completed on March 27 on Heishipo Mountain, Guangyuan, Southwest China's Sichuan province. Work teams are now checking the trail's safety and functions.

The trail consists of a 5-km professional section, a 2-km downhill section and a 2-km amateur section.

The trail makes full use of landform features, with its slope varying from 5 to 60 percent. It is designed for athletes of different levels and abilities.

For a long time, the mountain has been a good place for local residents to relax and exercise. In 2020, a plan was announced to build a bicycle sports park where regular bicycle competitions and other activities could be held.

Guangyuan will build Heishipo into a comprehensive sports theme park integrating competition, leisure and training.
