A Red educational base is under construction in Guangyuan, Sichuan province, to promote the traditions and culture of the Sichuan-Shaanxi old revolutionary base area.

The base, which is set to cover an area of about 667 sq m, will contain teaching buildings, lodging, sports venues, parking lots and other facilities.

With an investment of 415 million yuan ($ 65 million), the project broke the ground last June and is expected to be put into use in September this year.

After completion of the project, the Municipal Party School and its branches will carry out education on the history of revolution for Party officials, as well as the public.
