New bullet train links Jianmen Pass with the outside world

The D1913 Bullet Train, which travels from Xi'an in Northwest China's Shaanxi province to Chengdu in Southwest China's Sichuan, made its debut on May 1, the second day of this year's five-day May Day holiday.

The bullet train pulled into the Jianmen Pass Railway Station in Jiange county, Guangyuan, Sichuan province at 10:16 am on the same day.

Its interior décor is full of signature elements associated with Jianmen Pass, by far the first and the best-preserved man-made ancient post road in China. Passengers can find more information by scanning a WeChat QR code on photos and posters.

Zhao Huan, a passenger from Xi'an, gave a thumbs-up to the special arrangements on the bullet train that made it easier to learn more about the destination before arrival.

Wang Qingping, head of the bureau of culture, tourism and sports in Jiange, said that the opening of the bullet train will inject strong momentum for local tourism.

Accordingly, the county has opened a tourist reception center with several shuttle buses between the railway station and Jianmen Pass to help people enjoy their visit.
