An international media tour of Guangyuan, Sichuan province started on July 12 and lasted until July 15. Expats and visitors trooped to places of interest, sampled delicacies and explored  fascinating aspects of the ancient city.

"We got up early to see the sun rising and sea of clouds at Longshen Pavilion this morning. It's really amazing!" said Hu Hai, deputy editor-in-chief of Canadian Symbiosis International Media.

The Zengjia Mountain Scenic Area in Guangyuan's Chaotian district, famous for its forests, stones and snow landscapes, has always attracted tourists.

"Zengjia Mountain is splendid. It reminds me of my hometown. Delicious food, beautiful scenery and simple residents…I like everything here," said Francois Nadeau, a Canadian photographer and journalist.

The area  has rolled out a package of programs, including forest eco-tours, mountain climbing, and science popularization tours making it an ideal leisure resort.
