The artists were invited to visit scenic spots such as the Heming Mountain, Jianmen Pass and Cuiyun Corridor.

Walking on the ancient shudao, man-made ancient post roads to Sichuan, they could see that the cypress trees on both sides are still pulsating with life.

"The cypress trees are magnificent, which is especially suitable for brush and ink painting," said Zhu Ling, research fellow of the Painting and Calligraphy Institute of the Central Academy of Culture and History. "After going through the vicissitudes, the Cuiyun Corridor is still full of vitality. That moved me very much."

The event was sponsored by the Sichuan Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Publicity Department of the CPC Guangyuan Municipal Committee.
