The first phase of a green home furnishing industrial park project recently completed construction in Guangyuan, Southwest China's Sichuan province. Many companies have set up offices in the park.

The total planned area of the industrial park is more than 333 hectares, and the core area is in Zhaohua district, according to a person in charge of the Sichuan Zhaowang Home Furnishing Industry Investment Co.

A 10-kilometer municipal road opened to traffic. Ten buildings, including standardized workshops and supporting facilities which cover 185,000 square meters, have been qualified for use. Water, electricity, gas and network are available.

After nearly four years of construction, the cumulative direct investment of the project is nearly three billion yuan ($443 million).

To date, the Zhaohua district has signed investment agreements with 33 companies. Seven newcomers in the park, such as Jiangxi Gilardino and Shanghai Mermaid, have started operating.
