A lotus viewing activity kicked off in the Lingshang Shengjing scenic spot at the Lingshang Sports Center in Luoquanyan village, Chaotian district, Guangyuan, Sichuan province on July 30. The event will last three months until Oct 31.

A large number of tourists enjoy the beauty of lotus flowers and take pictures. Weekends are packed with visitors.

As the breeze gently blows through, the pink and white flowers sway on the green lotus leaves, presenting refreshing scenery to passing tourists.

In addition to acrobatics, singing and dancing, and other cultural performances, tourists also enjoy the parent-child fishing, adventures, and intangible cultural heritage experience activities. The slide way, children's sports area, homestay accommodation, and farmhouse offer discounts to tourists.

The Lingshang Shengjing is a national 3A-level tourist scenic spot  featuring an open and original ecological scenic spot in the village. The scenic spot's core area is located in Luohuanyan Village where the forest coverage rate is as high as 78 percent and the average annual temperature is 17 °C.

Luoquanyan village used to be a deeply impoverished village with a poverty incidence rate of 61 percent. Thanks to poverty alleviation efforts, the village has built a lotus viewing base of several hectares and highlighted the northern Sichuan characteristic homestay accommodation, which helps the village rise out of poverty.
