A summer food festival with the theme of "Hongqiao Bridge in Moonlight" was launched in Wangcang county, Guangyuan, Southwest China's Sichuan province on July 31.

The Hongqiao Bridge Food Street, boasting fantastic night views, has provided Wangcang people with a space for leisure, entertainment, catering, shopping and sightseeing.

"After moving into Hongqiao, my business flourished," said a merchant surnamed Chu.  

"A series of government-led activities gave me more business opportunities."

Guangyuan began a new round of coupon distribution from Aug 5. In addition, Wangcang county plans trade fairs to boost consumption.
