With an average altitude of 1,400 meters, Yueba has made strides in the governance of its ecological environment and the improvement of the living standards of local people over the past decade.

Chen Fengjie, Party secretary of Baichao Township, to which Yueba belongs, said that the local government has accelerated the building of an integrated services cluster of healthcare and tourism industries, which consist of an international rehabilitation & healthcare center, the alpine wetland hotel, a resort village and sports park, in recent years.

Right now, a complementary partnership has been established between Yueba and neighboring villages, which have grown edible fungi, peaches, herbal medicine and chestnuts, and have developed a beekeeping business.

Yueba has been selected as one of the top 100 Chinese forestry towns in the first batch, top ten Chinese demonstration villages for rural revitalization, and national beautiful & leisure villages in recognition of its notable achievements in ecological conservation and the improvement of the livelihoods of the people.
