Mountain villagers in the county started to grow white tea, earn a yearly payment from land transfer, and find employment opportunities in nearby agricultural production bases in 2020.

Xu Shifeng, a villager in the residential community, said that it is a lucrative business for him to participate in land transfer, which brings more than 30,000 yuan ($ 4,838.7) to his family's annual income.

Local farmers can directly bring their fresh tea to the nearby Longmen Tea Factory to be processed in accordance with a cooperative deal struck between them.

Meanwhile, an e-commerce platform has been built for local farmers. They are also being provided with scientific guidance on the planting of soybeans and white tea.
