With a 2.5-sq km built-up area, the zone has developed two major industries: new building materials and agricultural product processing.

By the end of 2021, it was home to 62 enterprises, including 40 industrial enterprises above the designated size, whose total output value exceeded 10 billion yuan ($1.38 billion).

This year, the district has also provided financial consultancy to more than 100 enterprises, and banking institutions extended loans to 50 enterprises worth a cumulative 184 million yuan.

"Since the beginning of the year, in the face of the pandemic, rising raw material prices, and energy shortages, the company's efficiency has continued to increase steadily, thanks to the municipal and district governments," said Lu Xiukui, leader of a cement company, "from January to August, the output value exceeded 1.07 billion yuan."

Chaotian district vows to increase investment and offer regular services to local enterprises, with an eye on the digital economy.
