The season also comes with the highest encounter rate of wild animals. Tourists may well run into some takins or Tibetan monkeys as they hike through the mountains. You can also take the new energy sightseeing car at the visitors' center to see the reserve's giant pandas and golden monkeys.

Native products are pollution-free and come in a wide variety. There are National Geographical Indication products, such as Qingchuan black fungus, and morel mushrooms famed for their ability to treat certain cancers. Fresh bamboo shoots, gastrodia elata, bacon and tea also enjoy wide popularity.
