A high-end aluminum processing project in Guangyuan, Sichuan province, will enter production in January, 2023.

Undertaken by the Sichuan Shimei Technology Co, the project has attracted investment worth 1.08 billion yuan.

Upon completion, it is expected to achieve an annual output of 150,000 tons of aluminum profiles and high-end aluminum products.

Boasting excellent weather resistance, stability and environmental protection, the products will be widely used in automobiles, ships, high-speed rail, escalators and other fields.

As the environmentally friendly and energy-saving aluminum provider recommended by the State, Sichuan Shimei will provide frames, steering and electrical systems for electric vehicle firms in France, Germany and other countries.

According to the project leader, the No. 1 and No. 2 melting furnaces of the first phase of the workshop are undergoing equipment installation and commissioning, and are expected to be put into operation in January next year.

A single furnace can produce 110 tons of aluminum rods per day. When all casting furnaces are in operation, the company can achieve an annual output value of more than 3 billion yuan, and provide employment for more than 600 people.

In addition, the company has added dust collectors, smelting waste gas treatment systems, and aluminum recycling pulse bag dust removal systems to promote low-carbon production.
