Southwest China's Sichuan province has listed the Qifeng Gorge Forest Healthcare Center of Zhaohua district in Guangyuan as one of its provincial forest healthcare bases, according to a recent announcement.

The award-winning healthcare center is located in Qifeng Gorge Forest Park of Yuanba township in Zhaohua. With an area of about 872 hectares and forest coverage rate of 82.59 percent, the forest park is home to over 170 species of wild plants and animals, some of which are under national-level protection.

The healthcare center boasts rich forest resources, sound transport, a good operating capacity and greatly improved service facilities. It has also fostered great tourism and healthcare values.

According to the Zhaohua Forestry Administration, the district has made full use of its rich natural resources to successfully blaze a new trail for the integrated development of forestry and tourism, covering sightseeing, vacation, healthcare, study tours and under-forestry industries.
