Wangcang county, Guangyuan, Southwest China's Sichuan province, has ramped up efforts on urban development.

It aims to improve infrastructure, expand and develop its greenbelt, integrating it with sightseeing, healthcare and leisure functions, and help local residents benefit from a better ecological environment.

As of now, the construction of an afforestation project in Dazhongba is in full swing. Upon completion, local residents will enjoy better transport, leisure and entertainment facilities.

Ding Bo, a project manager, said that more trees and flowers will be planted on both sides of relevant walkways in the future.

Statistics show that the total length of walkways and the green corridor in Wangcang has reached 16.5 kilometers. The county has built nine pocket parks and is planning to build two more.
