Cangxi county of Southwest China's Sichuan province launched its seven-day cultural show on Jan 22 to celebrate the Spring Festival.

A wide range of events, such as singing, acrobatics, lantern operas, Ju-Jitsu and dancing, was presented for the enjoyment of the residents.

Nearly 2,000 people watched the shows on the first day.

"All cultural events were extremely good and offered us a cultural feast in the celebration of the Spring Festival," said a male audience surnamed Li.

The cultural shows were hosted by Cangxi County Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Cangxi County People's Government and organized by the Department of Publicity of Cangxi County Committee of the CPC and Cangxi Bureau of Culture, Tourism and Sports.

This is the 11th year that the county has held such cultural events during the Spring Festival.

The Spring Festival, also known as Chinese Lunar New Year, is the most important festival in China and a time for family reunions and traveling.
