Spring Festival celebrations in Jianmen Pass focus on culture, heritage
During the just-concluded Spring Festival holiday, a diversity of intangible cultural heritage shows was staged at the tourist reception center of Jianmen Pass in Jian'ge, a county of Guangyuan in Southwest China's Sichuan province.

Jianmen-style lion dance, a traditional Chinese performance art widely known for its primitive singing and performance was presented. It conveys the local people's aspirations for a better life and their pursuit for simple living.

The show of flower lanterns as a form of folk arts became a channel for residents to seek entertainment and showcase their agricultural life in an artistic form.

There were other shows to further delight visitors and photographers, such as diabolo and acrobatics.
The cultural heritage shows have enriched the cultural and tourism environment of Jianmen Pass. They made Jian'ge popular among tourists, injected fresh vitality into the celebration of traditional Chinese lunar New Year, and helped visitors appreciate local cultural and historical traditions.
