Guangyuan, a city of Southwest China's Sichuan province, held an investment promotion ceremony in the Yangtze River Delta region in Hangzhou, capital city of East China's Zhejiang province, on Mar 8.

The ceremony brought together over 100 business executives and witnessed the signing of 36 tentative deals worth a total of 21.68 billion yuan ($ 3.16 billion).

He Shuping, secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Committee of Guangyuan, extended a warm welcome to all attendees at the ceremony and conveyed thanks to people from all walks of life for their support in the city's economic and social development.

He said that Zhejiang has made the utmost effort to promote the economic and social development of Guangyuan since 1996, and that more than 600 Zhejiang-based enterprises have investment in Guangyuan over the same period.

A trans-provincial pair-up assistance partnership was built between Guangyuan and Hangzhou in 2021 to elevate their bilateral cooperation, he noted in his speech.

He stated that Guangyuan is widely known for its natural and business environment, geographical location, industrial development and urban construction, adding that the city will intensify efforts in the industrial development of aluminum-related materials, green furniture, food & beverages and modern logistics, and endeavor to be a regional hub in the border area among Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu.

He stressed that Guangyuan will take further actions to improve its business environment, build effective and efficient coordination and services mechanisms, advance the building of relevant projects and provide investors with high-quality governmental services. He also extended an invitation to all entrepreneurs to visit the city and launch their business ventures there.

During the ceremony, representatives from Zhejiang Zhongnan Holding Group, Hangzhou Oxygen Plant Group and Transfar Zhilian Holding Co were invited to talk about their impressions of Guangyuan and relevant business proposals.
