As temperatures rise, tea farms in Guangyuan, Sichuan province, have ushered in tea picking season. People are expected to flock to the hillsides of tea gardens on short-tour rural excursions.

The city recently rolled out four tourism routes for visitors to explore its springtime scenery and taste local cuisine. Check out route 4:

Wangcang Red Army Town → Mumen War Council Site → Mumen Sanhe Modern Agricultural Park (for tea-picking, eating fermented glutinous rice and pot-stewed chicken) → Island of Peach Blossom → Luting Pavilion Hot Spring → Gaoyang Modern Agricultural Park (to pick tea leaves and enjoy tea feast) → Gucheng Mountain - Qilixia Scenic Resort→Yanjinghe Gorge
